Courtney Sanders
Bio
Courtney Sanders is a lifelong resident of Rankin county, Mississippi. She attended the Madison County Public School System and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Mississippi State in 2016. Courtney enrolled in Mississippi College School of law in the fall of 2016. She took a leave of absence in 2018 and moved to Hernando, Mississippi, in order to help her mother who was battling breast cancer. After her mother completed a successful treatment regime for her cancer, Courtney finished at Mississippi College School of Law on the Dean’s List in September 2022. Courtney is the mother of one child, Roman, and a cat named Fran.
Within two months of obtaining her license to practice law Courtney was immersed in complex civil and criminal cases. She wrote a Sentencing Memorandum for a lady facing 4-5 years in Federal Prison. The Sentencing Memorandum helped the client leave Court with one (1) year of house arrest. In a complex civil rights case, she helped secure a $500,000.00 wrongful death settlement for a family who lost their son due to unconstitutional jail practices. Courtney’s interests are in defending people who are charged with criminal offenses and getting full and fair monetary damages for people who have been injured.
